As a rep agency we always look for customers, but our unique side of business is that we also search for buyers.
So we are leaving between the two sides: Vendors and Buyers.
But we are very aware of the 3rd party: the consumer. The spoiled side of retail business.. lucky us, we do not need to deal with it.
So as I posted and spoke about many times, the art of finding and approaching buyers is not a talent but just a result of hard work and a lot of experience.
But how about finding the vendors? Yes, someone just like you.
So in the very same way that vendors are finding their consumer online – FB, Insta, TikTok – we publish our content but targeting Amazon sellers is not an easy thing. I won’t go into the algorithm behind this,
But you can imagine how complicated it is.
What I do want to share is that SM works. We are seeing very strong traffic of sellers approaching to check if their brand is qualified for retail, if there’s any potential for their products in retail, and some of them just want to hear more and keep this as an option.
If you read until here, you might have products with potential in retail, why don’t you fill out the form below and let us evaluate it for you, for free?
🔥BUYER FROM NORDSTROM 🔥
This is typically our best route for new brands to get on-site and test sales before we decide on an in-store program.
Our goal is not marketplaces and online, our goal is stores and offline.
But in the last 2 years, a few retailers want to see how vendor sales go in their marketplace before they take them into physical stores.
Nordstrom has over 300 stores, so it is worth trying their online channel, and while you won’t expect sales like on Amazon – they can still evaluate your brand, knowing their total sales and each category/product sales in their marketplace.
ARMY AND AIR FORCE EXCHANGE SERVICE 4,900 ASKING FOR CATALOG
This is a repetitive question. Even when you show them a website and SM traffic, they keep going back to the catalog point.
A retail catalog is easy to create, the main key to it is having wholesale pricing inside. Remember MSRP and WSP I posted about a few times? that’s the wholesale pricing.
One more important point to see in a catalog is the lifestyle images you present, this tells a lot about your brand and branding.
🚨 RETAIL NEWS 🚨
Costco to raise membership fee for the first time since 2017.
It’s known that most of the income of Costco comes from the membership, which allows them to sell products for lower prices vs other retailers.

And this leads us to a PRO TIP:
When Costco purchase goods, they have a small margin (lower than 20%!!), while they still offer products in stores for lower than the market. Few things allows them to do so:
✅ Membership based audience which keeps their cash flow safe. No shelves, most of the goods are sold inside a pallet, that saves supply chain expenses
✅ Changing SKUs attribute – which allows the vendors to agree to lower MSRP since the original SKU can not be compared with the one made for Costco
✅ Strong buying power. Numbers of units can be huge with them, i/e – a test order can start with 5000 units and above.
✅ Smart organization. They do not carry unnecessary employees for shelving and saving costs in the supply chain. So their net margin eventually is higher.
